Reformer Pilates Class Descriptions
Slow Reformer Pilates
-
Slow Reformer Pilates focuses on control and precision with a slower pace. Perfect your technique, breath and body awareness; all the while building your strength, core and balance.
We’ll take more time to learn the reformer machine settings and fine tune technique. Perfect for beginners and stronger practitioners alike.
-
All our Reformer classes are 45 minutes long. We lock our doors when we begin class. Please come no more than 15 minutes before class to find us, settle in and meet your instructor.
Reformer Pilates
-
Our Reformer classes are for everybody. Our signature Reformer Pilates classes are curated to tone and strengthen, while offering elements of posture of core work.
Whether you are brand new to reformer or an experienced student, we welcome all with scaled progressions with this wonderful pilates apparatus.
-
Please note we require all participants to have grip socks for class for safety and hygiene. You can bring your own or purchase them at the studio for £12 each.
5 Week Beginners Pilates Course
-
Our 5 week Beginners Reformer Pilates Course is designed for complete beginners or for folks wanting a thorough break down of the reformer practice.
Each week we'll explore a different facet of the reformer and teach you how to safely advance your practice at your own pace. At the end you'll be confident in integrating into our regular Reformer classes. Or perhaps you'll want to do it over and over again.
-
Our beginners Reformer courses are £95 for all 5 classes. Once you register for one intake you’ll come each week at the same time for 5 consecutive weeks.
You can also gift this course to others. Bookings are not transferable to other courses or classes.

FAQs
-
Reformer pilates merges the tradition and principles of regular pilates using a reformer machine. Reformers add resistance by using our own body weight as well as different tensioned springs and straps to add additional weight and coordination challenges.
Think all of the things you love about mat pilates with a little more oomph.
-
Mat pilates will typically use your body weight as resistance (or some props like magic circles or pilates balls). The reformer machine offers increased resistance with springs and straps/pulleys (and sometimes weights).
It also has an unstable sliding base, which can mean the classes are more challenging or can offer increased complexity in movement. One is not better than the other, but you might find you prefer one more the other.
-
We open our studio no more than 15 minutes before class begins. We recommend coming along 10 minutes early if you’ve never been before to make sure you have enough time to find us, park, walk in etc.
Please note, we lock our doors on time when we begin class. This ensures students belongings are secure, that we have adequate time for a warm up and that we don’t compromise the beginning and finish times (and potential subsequent roll on affect) of our schedule. We do not admit anyone after class starts for these reasons. We also understand that life can happen and do try to balance small business life with compassion.
Please contact us at info@studio70glasgow.com if you have any questions or need any support.
-
All students must practice with grip socks for safety and hygiene. This is a non negotiable.
Please bring your own grip socks or you can purchase socks in the app or when you arrive for class for £10-13 per pair depending on our current stock.
Please bring anything you’d
